Eliot Curtis is a UK drummer, multi-percussionist and beatboxer, currently based in London. His versatility across a wide spectrum of styles makes him a highly sought after musician.
With a wide musical interest and a vast background, Eliot has played alongside a number of notable musicians in the jazz, rock and classical arenas. With his modern jazz septet, he performed alongside the late Abram Wilson and Jason Marsalis and supported touring Jazz musicians including the WorldService Project. With his electrorock band, he has performed around the UK and Europe, including a performance in Hyde Park for BT London Live Olympic Festival, supporting Roots Manuva and Scouting For Girls. Eliot has also performed with a number of orchestras and classical ensembles. Under the direction of renowned percussionist, David Hockings, Eliot performed with the London Sinfonietta as part of their 'Repeating Patterns: the start of U.S. minimalism' tour in February 2013.
Soon into attending University of Southampton, Eliot's attention quickly turned to performing within the nightlife scene. During his degree, he held various residencies at prominent night-clubs in Southampton, playing as a percussion soloist alongside DJs over any type of track. Since graduating from his BA Music degree, Eliot continues to perform weekly at Cafe Parfait and can also be found performing in nightclubs around the UK including Maluku in Manchester, Moloko Bar in Salisbury, and Kukui, Newbury as well as performing for private functions.
Eliot is also a beatboxer, and under the direction of world female beatboxing champion, Bellatrix, continues to find new ways of expressing rhythm solely through his mouth. He is the beatboxer for internationally acclaimed DIY rapper ZUBY and will soon be performing a string of UK dates for the rapper's upcoming UK tour.
