Catalyst Coated Membranes:
Catalyst coated membranes (CCM) are membranes that have had a catalyst layer deposited directly on either side of the membrane, instead of onto a Gas Diffusion Layer (GDL). These are often referred to as 3 layer CCM’s. It allows the user to then add their own gas diffusion layers to make a complete membrane electrode assembly.
