PFSA Membranes
We offer a number of different membranes depending on your needs.
Nafion XL: Extended life reinforced membrane. Improvements in both chemical and mechanical stability. Suitable for both stationary and mobile applications. For humidified operating conditions. Hydration expansion reduced by 1.5 times compared to that of NR 211.
Typical thickness 27.4 microns.*
Nafion HP: Ultra-thin, extended life, reinforced membrane. Designed for low relative humidity, high temperature environments. The reinforcement improves both the mechanical and physical properties of the membrane. The reinforcement coupled with the chemical stability of the polymer results in reduced fluoride emissions and improvements to operating durability.
Typical thickness 20.3 microns.*
Nafion 212: Based on chemically stabilised perfluorosulfonic acid/PTFE co-polymer in the acid (H+) form. Used for a variety of commercial applications, namely as membrane for polymer electrolyte membranes and electrolysers. Typical thickness 50.8 microns.*

Ionomer Solutions
Nafion solutions are Nafion perfluorinated resin solutions that are dissolved in alcohol and water. The solutions we supply are 5%, 10% and 20% solid concentration weight, with the Nafion having an EW of 1100. The solutions can be applied to catalyst layers to make electrodes, or CCM’s/ MEA’s or dried to form Nafion® films.
